Navigators Term 4:

Come Joing our Fantastic Coaches Rachel Gwerder & Luke Appel for Term 4 of Navigators:

The programme consists of weekly coaching sessions, where basic fundamentals are introduced in an age-relevant manner within FUN activities and drills. Players need no experience to attend.

Players enrolled in Term 4 get first right of entry into Midnight Madness.

Our Fantastic Coaching Team:

Rachel Gwerder – Director of Development

22 years’ experience as a coach, have been in full time employment in player development for past 20 years working in 5 year increments at following associations, North Harbour, Waikato, Otago and Tauranga. Was employed by Basketball New Zealand as the South Island Coach and Player Development Officer. Mentor Coach on BBNZ Koru Tour for 10 years. Coached for many years within National Programme from NZ U16’s through to the Tall Fern’s, have retired from National honors until daughter’s progress through the BBNZ programme.

Luke Appel

11 Years coaching experience, just moved to Tauranga from Wellington. Born in New Zealand and raised in America. He has coached semi-professional and representative teams in Australia, as well as New Zealand High School Basketball and a USA basketball Academy. Has lived in Australasia for 9 of the past 10 years despite his strong American accent.
